Job summary

HCA Healthcare Summerville Hospital is offering a Nurse Extern opportunity for students currently enrolled in an approved RN program to gain hands-on experience while advancing their nursing careers.

You will assist with essential patient care, monitor vital signs, and participate in growth opportunities under supervision to build competencies and confidence for more advanced responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an approved RN program.
• Must have successfully completed Fundamentals of Nursing course.
• A current American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross Basic Life Support (BLS) Health Care Provider is required.

Responsibilities

• Providing essential patient care, assisting with ADLs and vital signs.
• Performing nursing tasks such as wound care and catheter care as experience grows.
• Documenting care accurately and communicating timely updates to the nursing team.
