Job summary

Kindred Hospital Dayton and Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) seeks nursing students for hands-on clinical exposure in a 97-bed hospital environment. You will gain experience under RN supervision while supporting basic nursing tasks and patient care in both medical and behavioral health settings.

You will participate in vital signs monitoring, rounds, and documentation in EMR, with orientation and state-specific competencies to guide responsibilities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent required.
• Currently enrolled and accepted into a LPN/LVN, ADN or BSN nursing program.
• Temporary Nurse Practice Permit or Graduate Nursing Permit may be required upon graduation depending on state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, BP, weight).
• Assist with admissions, discharges and transfers.
• Provide morning and evening patient care and basic nursing assistant tasks.
• Maintain infection control and sterile techniques; document meticulously in EMR.
