Job summary

Kindred Hospital Dayton and Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) is a 97-bed facility providing LTACH and behavioral health services in downtown Dayton. The RN will plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care, coordinate with a multidisciplinary team, and participate in discharge planning to support recovery and wellness.

The role requires a BSN or ADN with active RN licensure, ACLS/BCLS preferred, and at least 1 year in an inpatient psychiatric setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of medications and their correct administration based on patient age and condition.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to organize tasks and develop action plans under pressure.
• Ability to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver direct and indirect patient care using the nursing process.
• Develop and adjust nursing care plans with patient/family and staff.
• Communicate changes in patient condition to physicians and team.
• Participate in discharge planning and care coordination.
