Job summary

HCA Healthcare is looking for a Nurse Extern for its Float Pool in Wichita, KS. This role will focus on delivering high-quality, patient-centered care and will include a variety of delegated patient care services under the supervision of a registered nurse.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in and in good standing in an accredited RN nursing school.
• Foundations/Fundamentals course should be completed.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross required.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the implementation of nursing care plans under supervision.
• Assist nursing staff in providing patient care.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe patient care environment.
• Obtain and record initial and ongoing patient information.
• Promote the healthcare team to patients and families.
