Job summary

UK King's Daughters in Ashland, Kentucky seeks a Nursing Assistant to support RN/LPN, perform basic nursing procedures, and ensure patient care aligns with standards. You will document care in EPIC, assist with admission/discharge, and monitor patient conditions under supervision.

No prior work experience required; active enrollment in an accredited nursing program with one clinical semester completed or completion within last 6 months is acceptable.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with active enrollment in an accredited nursing program with one clinical semester completed or completion of the accredited nursing program within the last 6 months.
• No work experience required; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field.
• Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
• Certifications include Basic Life Support (BLS) and Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI).

Responsibilities

• Assists RN or LPN with routine patient care and treatments, including vital signs and monitoring.
• Supports activities of daily living and personal hygiene.
• Performs adjunct care tasks such as dressings, preps, and restraints as directed.
• Assists with admission, discharge, and perioperative care under supervision.
• Documents care activities in EPIC or designated records.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
