Responsible for providing nursing assistance and performing basic nursing procedures under supervision. Ensures completion of delegated tasks only after successful clinical training and competency validation. Supports registered nurses in the delivery of patient care while adhering to organizational standards and policies. Maintains accountability for professional behavior and compliance with established guidelines. Collaborates with nursing staff to promote quality patient outcomes.
High school diploma or equivalent with active enrollment in an accredited nursing program with one clinical semester completed or completion of the an accredited nursing program within the last 6 months.
No work experience required. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. All experience must be paid and in the same related field. Part-time and PRN experience will be prorated based on hours worked per week. Volunteer work and internships for academic credit are not counted.
Basic Life Support (BLS), Non‑Violent Crisis Intervention (CPI)
This position requires regular standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; intermittent standing or walking with objects up to 25 pounds; intermittent lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds; occasional lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects over 50 pounds; occasional sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time; and performing tasks with intermittent repetitive motions. Also involves some exposure to risk of back injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; intermittent risk of injuries from use of equipment; intermittent exposure to hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, and bloodborne or airborne pathogens; occasional exposure to radiation, burns, temperature extremes, loud noises, and combative or violent people.
