Job summary
UK King's Daughters in Ashland, Kentucky is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide comprehensive, patient-centered care across diverse clinical settings. The role includes planning, implementing, and evaluating individualized care plans, educating patients and families, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with policies and standards.
The ideal candidate will hold an active RN license with BLS and ACLS, and may have BSN preference.
Qualifications
- Active RN license in good standing
- BLS and ACLS certifications required or preferred
- BSN degree preferred
- CPI, NIH Stroke Scale, Oncology Nurse Certifications and PALS/NRP as applicable by unit
- Strong patient education and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
- Assess and plan individualized nursing care across clinical settings
- Educate patients and families about care plans and treatments
- Administer medications and monitor responses and adverse effects
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality and safety
- Document care activities accurately and timely in electronic records
- Demonstrate commitment to licensure, competencies, and ongoing professional development
