UVA Health in Culpeper, VA is seeking nursing students in their final year for an 8-week Nurse Extern program during the December 2027–May 2028 cohort. The role offers a 36-40 hour work week across three 12-hour shifts following orientation.

Open to BSN students who have completed year 3 or ASN students who completed year 1, with graduation date between December 2027 and May 2028. Program runs June–August in 2027 as noted.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled nursing students who graduate December 2027–May 2028.
• BSN students who have completed their 3rd year; ASN students who have completed their 1st year.
• Students may remain employed as a Nurse Extern until graduation completion.
• Following graduation and board completion they will need to apply for open positions and continue through the hiring process.

The base compensation for this role is $17.28 hourly.
