Job summary

Mission Hospital in Asheville, NC is offering a Nurse Extern Cardiovascular Progressive Care PRN opportunity. You will gain hands-on experience while supporting the nursing team and delivering safe, compassionate patient care as you progress through your nursing program.

You will assist with ADLs, monitor vital signs, document care, and collaborate with the care team under supervision of a licensed nurse. This PRN role emphasizes learning, growth, and alignment with our patient-centered mission.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
• Currently enrolled and in good standing in an accredited nursing program.
• NC (CNA) Certification in North Carolina.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) and monitor vital signs.
• Perform nursing tasks under supervision as you gain experience (wound care, catheter care, specimen collection).
• Document care accurately and communicate updates with the nursing team.
