Job summary

HCA Healthcare, Inc. is seeking a Transition to Practice Clinical Educator to support and facilitate clinical education across Palm Beach and Treasure Coast hospitals, with travel to Broward/Dade as needed.

The role focuses on standardized, evidence-based education for nursing, inter-professional teams, and students to enhance competency and patient care. You will lead orientation, RN residency, and preceptor programs, deliver targeted education for practice gaps, and participate in rounding to

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in clinical education, CSC, academia or leadership preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in acute care hospital preferred.
• Current RN license in applicable state(s).
• BLS required.
• Nationally recognized specialty certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participates and provides lifelong learning.
• Facilitates orientation/onboarding/transition to practice programs to promote employee retention.
• Conducts training in a manner that facilitates a positive learning environment.
• Provides expertise in identifying professional development needs of individual staff.
• Assists staff to identify areas for individual growth in current role.
• Directs staff to career advancement resources.
• Utilizes novice to expert continuum when developing staff.
• Understands adult educational theory and applies it to program development.
• Applies evaluation methodologies (e.g., Kirkpatrick) to refine programs.
• Contributes to succession planning insights.
• Identifies opportunities for skill enhancement and mastery.
