Job summary
Medical City McKinney, part of HCA Healthcare, seeks an RN Educator to lead onboarding, orientation, and ongoing clinical education for nursing staff.
You will design activities to close practice gaps, promote evidence-based practice, and collaborate with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to evaluate programs.
Requirements include a BSN, 2+ years in clinical education, and RN license; travel up to 25% may be required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in nursing required.
- Master's degree in nursing preferred.
- Current RN license in state of practice or active compact license required.
- Nationally recognized specialty certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Participates in development, coordination, management and evaluation of onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
- Provides orientation/onboarding to promote employee retention.
- Collaborates with Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs based on evaluations.
- Develops and evaluates competency among staff; designs educational activities to address gaps.
- Promotes evidence-based practice and integrates research, EBP, and quality improvement into patient care settings.
