Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a Faculty member for the School of Nursing in New Jersey. The role involves leading simulation-based instruction, tutoring students, and evaluating learning activities with high-fidelity simulators.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Nursing, a NJ RN license, and at least two years of acute care experience. Doctorate in Nursing or related field is preferred, as is certification in nurse education or CHSE.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Doctorate in Nursing or related field preferred (PhD, DNP, EdD).
• Active NJ RN license or compact license required.
• CNE or CNE cl preferred; CHSE preferred.
• Two years of acute patient care required.
• One year of simulation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops, implements, and evaluates evidenced-based activities in the Learning/Simulation Lab.
• Participate in simulation activities as instructor or technical support to faculty.
• Demonstrates nursing skills to students.
• Uses information technologies with high-fidelity simulators to support learning.
• Provides tutoring and feedback to students on skills performance.
• Adheres to Faculty Code of Conduct and acts as a professional role model.

Education

Master’s Degree in Nursing

Doctorate in Nursing or closely related field (PhD, DNP or EdD)

Active New Jersey RN License or compact license

Certified Nurse Educator (CNE) or CNE cl preferred

Certified Health Simulation Educator (CHSE) preferred

Two years of acute patient care required

One year of simulation experience preferred
