Job summary

Granite Hills Hospital in West Allis, Wisconsin is seeking a dynamic Staff Educator Nurse to lead nursing education, training, and employee health/compliance programs. You will partner with leadership to design and implement hospital training events for RN and MHT staff, ensuring education aligns with best practices.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in Nursing (Master’s preferred), brings at least three years of direct psychiatric/mental health clinical experience with staff education, and

• Support ongoing nursing education initiatives and ensure alignment with regulatory and internal standards.

Granite Hills Hospital is located in West Allis, Wisconsin, and is proud to serve the community with mental and behavioral health care services for teens and adults. Our new 120-bed facility features evidence-based treatment modalities and a multi-disciplinary team led by medical professionals. The 120 beds are split into five groups of 24 with enclosed outdoor spaces to promote healing. We are seeking a dynamic and talented Staff Educator Nurse to join our team!

The Staff Educator is a Registered Nurse who is responsible for providing technical support and education for the hospital staff. In this role you will be responsible for nursing staff education and training, and for the employee health and compliance program. Additionally in this role you will assist the CNO in evaluating, reviewing, designing and implementing hospital training events with respect to all RN/MHT staff required training.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree from an accredited program in nursing. Master’s Level preferred.

Experience: A minimum of three (3) years direct clinical experience preferred in a psychiatric or mental health setting, with direct experience in staff education, nursing practices, patient assessments, education concepts, practices and procedures.

Licensure: Registered Nurse in state of Wisconsin.

Additional Requirements: Complete knowledge of crisis intervention techniques, restraint and seclusion, and ability to prepare and present training events as directed for Nursing Services. Completion of training in CPI/Verbal De-Escalation and CPR which can be obtained during new hire orientation. May be required to work occasional weekends and/or other hours; conduct weekend training as needed.
