Job summary

On With Life in Ankeny, IA is seeking a Nurse Educator to lead onboarding and ongoing staff training within the rehabilitation team. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

with occasional weekend availability as part of a leadership on-call rotation. Under the direction of the Director of Nursing, you will ensure staff education aligns with updated procedures and evidence-based practice, perform monthly audits, draft and update nursing policies, and collaborate

Qualifications

• Experience delivering staff education in healthcare settings to ensure evidence-based practice.
• Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations affecting patient care.
• Strong collaboration and leadership to guide onboarding and ongoing training.

Responsibilities

• Maintain current regulatory knowledge and inform facility leaders.
• Educate and coach nursing staff on continuous quality improvement.
• Draft, implement, and update nursing policies and procedures.
• Provide hands-on education and monthly audits of nursing skills.
• Educate team on new processes and equipment as needed.
• Monitor compliance with online training, CPR, and Licenses.
• Screen nursing candidates and participate in orientation and 90-day follow-up.
• Serve as secondary infection preventionist and support IP as needed.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to cover for other leaders when required.
