SGMC Health is seeking an RN educator for the Nursing Clinical Resources department. The role designs, implements, and evaluates staff education programs to grow professional skills and ensure care standards.
The ideal candidate holds a GA RN license, a BSN, and 3+ years in a clinical specialty, with ACLS/PALS/NRP or STABLE certs. You’ll promote competency, deliver targeted training, and support policy education across units.

DEPARTMENT: NURSING CLINICAL RESOURCES
SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift,
Designs, organizes, implements, and evaluates educational programs (orientations, continuing education, and in-services) that facilitate the professional growth, skill development, competency, and attainment of standards of care for employees.These programs will be developed, implemented, and evaluated using adult education principles.Clinical programs will be developed using nursing theory, nursing clinical expertise, standards of practice, and adult education principles.Serves as resource for staff nurses and other healthcare team members working in assigned service areas.Assists with promoting competency level of staff in assigned service areas by providing service specific education.Assists with providing individual instruction to staff as needed in assigned service areas.Assists in providing education related to new/revised policies or procedures.Assists in evaluating effectiveness of current standards, polices, procedures, and clinical pathways, and ensures all regulatory/accrediting standards requirements.
Works primarily in hospital setting, in clinical/patient care areas on various shifts and weekends with the flexibility required to meet the educational needs of staff. Considerable walking, standing, stooping, bending, lifting occasionally in excess of fifty pounds. Ability to assess, plan, and make recommended decisions in complex environment.
