Description
JOB PURPOSE:
Acts as liaison between Pharmacy Manager, consultants, the sales team, other pharmacy staff and United Pharmacy’s customers.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Works together with the pharmacy team to ensure a seamless transition at facility start up.
- Strengthens business relationships with customers by conducting regular facility visits.
- Supports pharmacy operating procedures in the facility by conducting in-services and providing educational materials that are designed to facilitate compliance with key procedures.
- Helps to resolve customer concerns and works with pharmacy team to provide follow-up to ensure that all issues are resolved.
- Works with the sales team, pharmacy manager, and consultants to assist with the introduction of new United Pharmacy tools and technology.
- Works with the pharmacy manager, consultants, sales team, and vendors to provide outside clinical and other educational in-services to United Pharmacy customers and partners with sales to provide this education to non-customers.
- Works with the sales team to assist in providing references, sales presentations when needed, and support at tradeshows, and conventions.
- Enhances customer service and company growth objectives through the development and maintenance of long-term customer relationships.
- Report job-related functions/tasks that involve occupational hazards. Follow established safety procedures when performing tasks and/or working with equipment Perform other related duties as necessary and as directed by supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
- 1. Ability to work in a team environment in order to establish productive, collaborative relationships between the pharmacy and its customers
- 2. Ability to build and maintain relationships with all levels of facility staff
- 3. Extensive knowledge of LTC pharmacy policies and procedures
- 4. Excellent oral and written communication skills
- 6. Utilizes Customer Action Request form at monthly facility visits to ensure that any and all issues are resolved.
- 7. Keeps supervisor and pharmacy manager informed of daily activities and issues.
- 8. Coordinates and ensures that all tasks are completed during facility start up.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION / LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION:
RN (Registered Nurse) preferably with experience in Account Management.
Five (5) years health care experience preferably in long term care.
