Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to educate and mentor LPN/PN and RN students across classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical settings. The successful candidate will guide students in developing knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors essential for nursing practice.

The ideal applicant holds an MSN or higher nursing degree, an active RN license, and at least 3 years of recent RN experience. A passion for education and student achievement is required.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute sites.
• Create a positive learning environment that supports student growth and professional development.
• Deliver instruction appropriate to students' educational level and needs.
• Supervise students in clinical settings and promote safe nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence; maintain progress and grade records.
• Implement evaluation methods to measure learning and competency.
• Maintain attendance records and provide guidance and feedback to students.
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and clinical partners.
• Attend meetings and maintain current knowledge in nursing specialty.
