Job summary

HCA Florida Englewood Hospital is seeking a Nurse Educator to enhance professional practice and ensure high-quality patient care through evidence-based educational programs. The role focuses on onboarding nursing staff, promoting retention, and advancing competencies across licensed and non-licensed personnel.

You will collaborate with the Director of Clinical Professional Development, design activities to close knowledge gaps, and support lifelong learning while applying EBP in daily care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Master’s degree in nursing preferred.
• 2+ years of clinical education/leadership experience preferred.
• 2+ years of acute care hospital experience preferred.
• RN licensure in state of practice or compact state required.
• Nationally recognized specialty certification preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Responsibilities

• Develops, coordinates, manages onboarding and orientation programs for nursing and other healthcare personnel.
• Provides orientation programs to promote employee retention.
• Collaborates with the Director of Clinical Professional Development to adjust programs based on evaluation results.
• Manages competency development and ongoing staff education activities.
• Designs educational activities to address practice gaps for licensed and non-licensed personnel.
• Plans content delivery to promote learner engagement and outcomes.
• Promotes evidence-based practice and participates in research, EBP, and quality improvement in patient care.
