Job summary

OakLeaf Surgical Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse Educator to coordinate, develop, and deliver education across the organization. You will ensure staff competency, regulatory compliance, and continuous learning through orientation, annual training, certifications, and on-demand content.

You will collaborate with department leaders to identify learning needs, create evidence-based content, and enhance patient care quality through teaching and mentoring.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide comprehensive educational programs for clinical and non-clinical staff across all departments.
• Oversee, develop, and facilitate clinical orientation and onboarding for all new hires.
• Develop and deliver annual provider and contractor education in collaboration with leadership and department heads.
• Plan and conduct organization-wide ongoing education and competency validations.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal healthcare regulations through collaborative educational efforts.
• Create, assign, and document computer-based learning modules for clinical staff.
• Oversee scheduling of BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Chair and facilitate Education Council and related committees.
• Coordinate nursing skills fairs to ensure clinical competency and regulatory compliance.
• Follow up with staff on education requirements or incomplete certifications.
• Meet with new clinical hires to assess education needs.
• Conduct monthly meetings with clinical managers to discuss education plans.
• Design and implement department-specific education as requested.
• Conduct regular rounding for just-in-time education.
• Attend staff meetings to support education needs.
• Provide on-demand educational support across departments.
• Collaborate to ensure cohesive training across the organization.
• Collect and report education-related data to leadership and regulatory bodies.
• Use secure messaging platform per protocol.
