Northwestern Medicine is seeking a part-time Clinical Practice Specialist Nurse Educator to support Medical Surgical, Float and IMCU. The role focuses on leading education, quality improvement, and professional development at the unit level while aligning with NM policies and evidence-based practice.

The educator will develop education programs, monitor quality metrics, and lead multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care and safety.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing required.
• Master's in Nursing preferred or to obtain within 4 years.
• IL RN license required.
• BLS certification required.
• Clinical specialty certification preferred or to obtain.
• 3-5 years of experience in a related clinical area.

Responsabilités

• Develops and implements staff education opportunities based on needs assessments.
• Monitors quality dashboards and implements improvement actions.
• Leads inter-professional teams for clinical process improvement.
• Plans and evaluates unit-specific learning activities to improve safety.
• Mentors staff and participates in staff orientation and competency programs.
• Collaborates with leadership to advance nursing practice and education.

RN license – Illinois

BLS Certification (AHA)
