Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association is seeking a Nursing Education leader to assess, develop, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing education programs for Medical Surgical units including General Medicine, General Surgery, Telemetry, and Oncology.

The role requires five years of acute care experience, CT RN license, and leadership skills. Master’s in Nursing, BLS/ACLS instructor certifications, and ongoing credentialing support are expected. Exempt, on-site with competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Nursing required and matriculated in a Masters in Nursing program.
• RN license in Connecticut required; Nursing Board Certification within one year of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional, courteous service to patients, visitors and staff.
• Serve as primary contact for schools requiring clinical affiliation.
• Assist with educational programs, certification and competency evaluation.
• Mentor staff and provide feedback to nursing leadership on staff and programs.
• Coordinate education plans and onboarding for staff and students.
• Collaborate with Nursing Leadership on budget for AHA costs and credential monitoring.
• Assign clinical placements to local schools and colleges.
• Report trends to Nursing Leadership and Directors.
