Job summary

The University of Colorado is seeking a Clinical Education Specialist – Nurse Educator to partner with care teams in the Aurora, CO ambulatory clinics. The role focuses on designing and implementing education programs, building learning campaigns, and ensuring compliance with licensure and certification requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in biological sciences, nursing, health, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience.
• Substitution: related education/experience may substitute for the degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead onboarding and orientation with individualized learning plans.
• Design and deliver clinical education through in-services, workshops, competency validation, CPR training events, equipment education, and other professional development activities.
• Serve as a clinical education resource with coaching across ambulatory multispecialty clinics.
• Promote standardized and safe clinical practice by reinforcing evidence‑based policies, procedures, workflows, competency expectations, and emergency preparedness through mock drills.
• Administer the Learning Management System by building, scheduling, assigning, launching, and distributing required training modules.
