Job summary

Glenwood Regional Medical Center in Louisiana seeks a Nurse Educator to lead staff development and community education efforts, developing evidence-based programs and administering in-house online courses.

You will support policy coordination, provide clinical guidance to leaders, and analyze data to improve competencies and patient care. Five years of clinical experience and LA RN licensure are required; BLS is mandatory with ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in Louisiana required.
• BSN preferred.
• Five years clinical experience in assigned areas; nurse-peer training experience.
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS/NRP preferred.
• BLS instructor status within 12 months of hire.
• ACLS instructor status within 18 months of hire.
• PALS/NRP provider status within 2 years; instructor if directed by CNO.

Responsibilities

• Serve as role model, consultant, and facilitator for staff and community education.
• Develop and administer evidence-based clinical staff development programs to improve patient care.
• Administer and track in-house online courses for all staff.
• Assist in policy coordination and management of hospital policies.
• Provide clinical support and act as resource for directors, nurse managers, and staff.
• Gather, analyze, and assess data from multiple sources to drive learning initiatives.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
