Job summary

Glenwood Regional Medical Center seeks a Nurse Leader to oversee the Chest Pain Center and Primary Stroke programs, coordinating care from pre-hospital to hospital for ACS and stroke patients. You will drive CQI processes, partner with EMS and hospital departments, and align outcomes with accreditation standards.

The role requires RN licensure in Louisiana, a BSN and 5+ years in management with critical care experience, plus ACLS/PALS NRPs and CPR instruction within 18 months.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in Louisiana.
  • BSN is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of management experience.
  • At least 5 years of critical care in ED or ICU.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and oversee protocols for chest pain and stroke patient pathways.
  • Collaborate with Medical Directors to educate peers on ACS/Stroke care.
  • Direct STEMI and Stroke Alert programs and coordinate with rural hospitals.
  • Educate internally and in the community about early heart attack/stroke care.
  • Coordinate CPC/Stroke Committee communications and meetings.
  • Ensure accreditation and regulatory compliance for Chest Pain Center.
