Mount Carmel Behavioral Health in Columbus, Ohio, is hiring a Nurse Educator to lead clinical education, orientation, and competency development for nursing staff. This full-time role includes collaborating with the Nursing Director and CNO/DON to align educational initiatives with patient care standards.

The position offers a $10,000 sign-on bonus and a day shift, with pay ranges from $35.03 to $54.29 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Master's degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, Education or related field preferred.
Bachelor's degree in nursing or commensurate experience required.
5+ years strongly preferred
3 years of registered nurse experience required
Inpatient psychiatry experience as an RN strongly preferred
Two years of behavioral health experience as an RN required
1+ years experience in Clinical Education/Training (Preferred)
Certification as an NPD Practitioner and/or clinical certification preferred (ANCC)

Responsabilités

Facilitates orientation/onboarding program to promote employee retention.
Designs and identifies educational activities to address practice gaps in target audiences.
Identifies learning needs of staff and facilities.
Collaborates with Nursing leadership to review outcomes data and refine competency activities.
Develops education plans aligned with policies and procedures.
Implements regulatory education curricula (Joint Commission/CMS/CARF).
Provides resources and just-in-time education to staff.
Acts as infection preventionist if needed and supports clinical education initiatives.
