Job summary

Memorial Hermann Health System in the United States is seeking a Nurse Educator to execute educational experiences that facilitate the promotion of competent and quality patient care. This role supports clinical staff in their pursuit of knowledge and professional development, reporting to the campus Manager or Director of Clinical Education and Professional Development.

Responsibilities include developing educational content, applying NPD standards, and coaching preceptors and orientation

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is required.
• Current Texas license or compact license to practice professional nursing is required; BLS is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs competency management including needs assessment and gap analysis.
• Develops and disseminates fundamental educational content and programs using various learning methods.
• Applies Nursing Professional Development scope and standards into practice.
• Participates in interprofessional collaboration with learners and stakeholders using effective communication.
• Demonstrates awareness of EBPs/research and quality initiatives.
• Coaches and provides feedback to preceptors and orientees and assesses orientation progress.
• Monitors environments for opportunities and challenges affecting professional practice gaps.
• Facilitates learning, change, and professional role development.
• Ensures safe care adhering to Memorial Hermann policies within budget and resources constraints.
• Promotes professional growth and supports department goals; serves as a resource to staff.
• Demonstrates commitment to compassionate, personalized care and standard of service.
