Memorial Hermann Health System is seeking a Nurse Educator to execute educational experiences that promote competent, high-quality patient care across our campuses in Houston. You will support clinical staff in their development and alignment with nursing standards, under the guidance of the campus Manager or Director of Clinical Education and Professional Development.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, an active Texas license, BLS, and at least two years of nursing

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• Current Texas license required; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Two (2) years of nursing experience required.
• One (1) year education related experience preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Performs competency management job functions including needs assessment, gap analysis and monitoring of compliance.
• Develops and disseminates fundamental educational content/programs utilizing various learning methods/domains.
• Applies Nursing Professional Development (NPD) scope and standards into practice.
• Participates in interprofessional collaboration with learners and other stakeholders using effective communication.
• Coaches and provides feedback to preceptors and/orientees and assesses orientation progress.
• Ensures safe care to patients, staff and visitors; adheres to Memorial Hermann policies and standards within budgetary specifications.
