Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an experienced Nurse Education professional to identify competency gaps, design and implement education programs, and lead professional development for clinical staff.

Responsibilities include applying adult learning principles, reviewing outcomes, and collaborating with nursing leaders to ensure high-quality care. Requires RN licensure and demonstrated clinical teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of experience in clinical teaching or precepting, nursing professional development, delivering educational programs, curriculum design, process improvement, professional development/evaluation, or related experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a health-related field AND minimum four years of experience in an inpatient setting, clinic, and/or skilled nursing department or a directly health-related field.
• RN License (Oregon) required at hire
• BLS required at hire
• Master's degree preferred
• Three years of experience in nursing education, training programs, or a teaching/training environment (preferred)

Responsibilities

• Promotes learning and builds relationships with coworkers and customers; provides actionable feedback and champions change.
• Completes work autonomously and supports projects by applying subject-area expertise and problem solving.
• Provides educational opportunities to nurses, designs education programs, and collaborates with stakeholders to meet needs.
• Ensures compliance with legal, regulatory, and accreditation requirements and maintains evidence-based practices.
• Participates in continuous improvement by researching literature and updating educational content.
