Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking a Nurse Educator – Clinical Development Nurse I to strengthen nursing competencies and advance evidence-based practice across Washington facilities. This onsite role blends clinical expertise with teaching, mentoring, and improving patient outcomes.

Locations include Renton, Bellevue, Seattle, and Everett, WA, with rotating on-call weekends. The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for professional development within a leading healthcare system.

Qualifications

Active Washington RN license or qualifying compact RN license at hire.
Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a health-related field.
At least 2 years of relevant clinical experience in an inpatient, outpatient, skilled nursing, or related healthcare setting.
At least 6 months of clinical teaching, precepting, staff development, training, or related experience.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification at hire.
Prior case management work experience is needed.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver clinical education, training, and professional development programs for nursing teams.
Identify competency gaps and implement targeted coaching, remediation, and education plans.
Support case management education and the application of evidence-based clinical guidelines.
Collaborate with nursing leaders and interdisciplinary teams to improve clinical workflows and patient safety.
Create and refine training materials, orientation programs, and competency assessments.
Evaluate educational effectiveness through performance metrics, feedback, and quality outcomes.
Promote compliance with nursing standards, organizational policies, and regulatory requirements.
