Job summary

Mercy Health Cincinnati seeks a dedicated Nursing Education Specialist to implement system-wide education and professional development programs. You will partner with operational leaders to ensure evidence-based practice and nursing research drive our initiatives across departments, supporting Magnet and Pathways to Excellence goals.

The role requires a BSN, RN licensure, and 3 years of clinical experience plus 2 years in leadership or education project work.

Qualifications

BLS certification and strong written and verbal communication skills.
MS Office proficiency and knowledge of clinical information systems.
Experience with nursing education, mentorship, and professional development.
Bachelor of Science in Nursing required; Master's preferred.
RN licensure in good standing.

Responsibilities

Implement system nursing education and professional development programs across departments and facilities.
Apply nursing process and adult learning principles to education programs.
Provide staff education, preceptor support and development.
Integrate learning design and technology for competency assessment and validation.
Collaborate with leadership to support Magnet and Pathways to Excellence designation.
