Job summary
Mercy Health seeks a Manager of Nursing Practice and Clinical Education to plan, implement, and evaluate education programs across the Toledo region. You will lead Nursing Professional Development Coordinators and partner with nursing leaders to enable exceptional patient care delivery.
The role focuses on building an evidence-based learning culture, coordinating onboarding, RN residency, and preceptor programs while advancing nursing standards and practice across locations.
Qualifications
- RN license in state of practice or compact
- BSN and MSN required or equivalent
- Experience in nursing education and professional development preferred
- Magnet or Pathways to Excellence experience preferred
Responsibilities
- Implements nursing education and professional development programs across departments/facilities
- Assess learning needs and guide education strategy to support outcomes
- Oversee educational resources and partner with nursing leaders on quality objectives
- Advance nursing practice through education, evidence-based practice, and research
- Support transition-to-practice programs and residency/preceptor initiatives
- Coordinate with system resources on career development pathways and retention metrics
