Job summary

Saint Mary of Nazareth Hospital seeks a Director of Med/Surg - Telemetry to provide 24-hour administrative leadership for nursing in medical/surgical/telemetry units. You will supervise staff, drive performance improvement, and ensure regulatory compliance across the department.

The role requires a current RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, and a BSN with at least two years of supervisory experience and three years of acute care clinical work. CCRN or MS-Cert preferred; days shift, full-time.

Qualifications

• Current and valid state registered nurse license.
• BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current.
• CCRN or Medical-Surgical Certification preferred.
• Minimum two years supervisory/management experience.
• Minimum three years continuous clinical experience in acute care.
• BSN required for all new hires after 1/11/2021.
• Current PALS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.

Responsibilities

• Assumes 24-hour administrative responsibility for nursing services in medical/surgical/telemetry units.
• Supervises, assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care delivery.
• Develops and implements departmental plans, including performance improvement activities.
• Assumes 24-hour accountability for the department.
• Supervises staff and communicates with staff, physicians, and administration on nursing issues.
• Oversees house supervisory duties and responds to codes as assigned.
