The Nurse Director, in collaboration with the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, is responsible for planning clinical services to ensure the efficient and appropriate delivery of care to the unit’s specific patient population. The Nurse Director will adhere to organizational philosophies and ensure quality care is delivered in a cost-effective manner. They will provide overall administrative direction and leadership for clinical staff, policies, procedures, and programs for the unit, and will be responsible for the 24-hour delivery of nursing care in the department.
BSN required. Master’s degree in Nursing or a related field required. RI State Nursing Licensure is required, as is graduation from an accredited nursing program. BLS certification required. A minimum of five years of job-related experience is required; ten years preferred. Certification in administration or related specialty is preferred and must be obtained within two years of hire.
