Primary Function

The Nurse Director, in collaboration with the Associate Chief Nursing Officer, is responsible for planning clinical services to ensure efficient and appropriate care delivery to the unit's patient population. The Nurse Director will adhere to organizational philosophies, ensuring quality care in a cost-effective manner. They will provide administrative leadership for clinical staff, policies, procedures, and programs, and will oversee the 24-hour nursing care in the department.

Job Qualifications and Specifications

• BSN required.
• Master’s degree in Nursing or related field required.
• RI State Nursing Licensure required.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing program required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum of five years of relevant experience required; ten years preferred.
• Certification in administration or related specialty is preferred and must be obtained within two years of hire.
