  • This RN role involves completing RN education visits for patients pre-surgery, managing in-basket/triage patient needs, answering phones, intake, and scheduling patients.

Overview

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters Hospital proudly serves the healthcare needs of families in St. Charles, Lincoln, and Warren counties. The 102-bed community hospital provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient services, including the Siteman Cancer Center, Breast Health and Women’s Center, Cardiology Center, Neurosurgery Center, and Outpatient Surgery and Endoscopy Center.

The hospital is an Accredited Chest Pain Center with Level II stroke certification. The medical office building houses specialists in primary care, cardiology, obstetrics, dermatology, surgery, and pulmonology. Outpatient services include physical therapy, a sleep lab, and cardio-pulmonary rehabilitation.

Preferred Qualifications
Role Purpose

Coordinates healthcare for specific patient populations across the continuum of care, including patient contact, education, and preparation for procedures/tests in collaboration with the healthcare team.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitates patient care by assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
  • Coordinates safe and appropriate patient care based on evidence-based practices.
  • Monitors care and data to optimize outcomes.
  • Educates patients and families; acts as a resource to the healthcare team.
  • Ensures actions support the overall goals of the organization.

Education
  • Nursing Diploma or Associate's Degree in Nursing
Experience
  • 2-5 years
