Job summary

St. David’s Georgetown Hospital is seeking a Clinical Nurse Coordinator for Labor and Delivery to serve as the primary decision maker for clinical and managerial operations during shifts.

You may assume patient care responsibilities if needed while leading a dedicated, multidisciplinary team. You will oversee quality of care, implement evidence-based practices to improve patient safety and outcomes, and support staff development, payroll edits, and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• 1+ year healthcare experience required.
• RN licensure in applicable state or compact license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required by policy.
• ACLS certification - preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to coordinate, evaluate, customize, and deliver high quality, patient-centered care.
• Continuously assess the quality of nursing care services and operationalize evidenced-based practices to enhance patient safety and outcomes.
• Assume leadership responsibilities within the unit in support of the RN manager/director, including supervision, education, coaching, payroll edits, annual performance reviews, and employee recognition.
• Manage responsibilities that may rotate within core areas: Quality, Safety, and Regulatory Preparedness; Patient Experience; Employee Engagement, Physician Satisfaction, and Culture; Fiscal Responsibility including scheduling, overtime review, and supply management; Staff Development including education and clinical competencies and Graduate Nurse Residency / Preceptor support.

Education

Associate Degree in Nursing

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing - preferred
