Position Summary Information

Position Summary

This position will serve as a Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator within the Iweala Laboratory and Research Group within the Thurston Arthritis Research Center and the UNC Food Allergy Initiative ( FAI ) and the Allergy Mast Cell Disorders Program at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. The position will serve a growing clinical and translational research program focused on alpha-gal syndrome, mast cell disorders, hypermobility spectrum disorders, and related allergic and immunologic conditions, including the ongoing BLU - MCAD -1101 / POLARIS Clinical Observational Study (ClinicalTrials.gov NCT07143669) and the Telios Pharma TL-895 study (ClinicalTrials.gov NCT04655118). The Clinical Research Nurse Coordinator is responsible for independently providing specialized nursing services for various clinical research protocols. They are responsible for providing guidance and assistance to study teams in both clinical and non-clinical areas of research, including participant visits, data quality, and others.

Minimum Education And Experience Requirements

Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of North Carolina and two years of experience in the area of specialization.

Management Preferences

• Working with human subjects with phlebotomy experience.
• Experience in clinical research coordination, clinical operations, patient recruitment, or related healthcare settings.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Experience coordinating and preparing clinical research studies, IRB submissions, and regulatory documentation.
• Familiarity with GCP , HIPAA , and clinical research regulations.
