Job summary

The University of Texas Medical Branch (UTMB) is seeking an Advanced Beginner Clinician RN to deliver medically appropriate nursing care on a fast-paced unit in Webster, TX. This role emphasizes growth, patient safety, and alignment with UTMB standards and values.

Qualifications

• RN with six months of clinical RN experience and/or successful completion of probationary NC I period.
• Must possess and maintain a current Registered Nurse license or valid permit to practice in Texas.
• Current BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents the daily care of assigned patients.
• Identifies nursing diagnoses/patient care needs; develops and revises the care plan as needed.
• Administers medications and treatments per physician's orders; delivers culturally congruent nursing care.
• Performs routine technical procedures/skills in the specialty area assigned.
• Provides patient/family education and uses Teach-Back to ensure understanding.
• Coordinates with inter-professional team to prioritize and manage patient care.
