The University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston, TX seeks an Advanced Beginner Clinician (RN) to provide care per Texas Nurse Practice Act. Requires six months of RN experience and a current Texas RN license with BLS. The role supports diverse patient populations and emphasizes evidence-based nursing practice within UTMB standards.

Includes participation in unit activities, continued education, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care.

Formación

• RN with six months of clinical RN experience or completion of probationary NC I period.
• Current Registered Nurse license or valid Texas permit to practice; BLS required.

Responsabilidades

• Assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents daily patient care.
• Identifies nursing diagnoses and develops individual care plans; revises as needed.
• Executes physician orders; administers medications and care per UTMB policies.
• Performs routine technical procedures in assigned specialty.
• Provides patient/family instruction based on identified needs; uses Teach-Back.
• Plans, coordinates, and prioritizes patient care with the inter-disciplinary team.
• Maintains safety and continuity of care; bedside shift reports and hand-off tools.
• Demonstrates time management, delegates appropriately, and uses technology effectively.
• Contributes to unit quality, ethics, and ongoing education in line with standards.
