Job summary

The PromptCare Companies is seeking an experienced Registered Home Infusion Nurse to perform in-home infusion care in Thibodaux, LA. This per diem position requires administering IV therapies, education for patients and families, and coordinating with the healthcare team to ensure excellent home-based care.

Responsibilities include assessments, care plan development, and on-call coverage as needed. A valid RN license in Louisiana, CPR, and strong IV skills are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in the state of Louisiana and in good standing.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance; professional liability insurance.
• CPR certification and proficiency with IV access and infusion pumps.

Responsibilities

• Conducts initial nursing assessments for home infusion therapy.
• Trains patients/caregivers on procedures and equipment.
• Develops and revises care plans with the healthcare team.
• Visits patients, documents compliance, and provides direct care.
• Assumes on-call duties and manages patient supplies.
• Coordinates care with other agencies and counsels patients on therapy.
• Collaborates with Pharmacists for therapy adjustments.
• Plans efficient daily routes and submits nursing notes promptly.
• Triages field problems and adheres to SOPs and regulations.
• Delivers high-quality service and reports travel expenses.

As a Registered Home Infusion Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients in their homes. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans and administering intravenous medications and treatments. You will also be responsible for educating patients and their families about home care, medications, and treatments. Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse in the state inquiring of employment and in good standing
• Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
• Professional Liability Insurance
• CPR Certification
• Knowledge of PIV, Mid-Line, PICC Line, Tunneled Catheters, and Ports
• At least 2 years’ experience as a home infusion nurse, or equivalent experience working in another field-based home nursing organization, is required
• ED experience preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in IV insertion, vascular access devices, and infusion pumps
• Specific training and/or certification as a heart failure nurse is highly desirable
• Strong pediatric peripheral IV skills preferred
• Certified Nurse Infusionist (CRNI) preferred
• Experience with the following IV therapies is a major advantage: inotropes, intravenous immunoglobulin, and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)

Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:
