PromptCare seeks experienced Registered Home Infusion Nurses to provide specialized nursing care in patients' homes in Metairie, LA. Responsibilities include assessments, planning, implementing, and evaluating care, plus IV therapies and patient education. Per Diem position reporting to Nurse Manager with diverse duties and travel.

The ideal candidate is a compassionate RN with 2+ years in home infusion or related field, strong communication skills, and dedication to high-quality care.

Qualifications

• Must be a Registered Nurse in the state of employment and in good standing.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in home infusion nursing or equivalent home care experience.
• Demonstrated proficiency in IV therapy and vascular access devices.
• CPR certification required.
• Experience with Heart Failure nursing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial nursing assessments for home infusion therapy.
• Train patients and caregivers on procedures and equipment.
• Develop and revise care plans with the healthcare team.
• Visit patients, document compliance, and provide direct care.
• On-call duties and management of patient supplies; coordinate with other agencies.
• Collaborate with pharmacists for therapy adjustments.
• Plan efficient daily routes and submit nursing notes promptly.
• Triages field problems and adheres to SOPs and regulations.
• Provide 'white glove' service and manage travel expenses.
• Perform duties as assigned, including weekends and evenings.

As a Registered Home Infusion Nurse, you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to patients in their homes. You will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care plans and administering intravenous medications and treatments. You will also be responsible for educating patients and their families about home care, medications, and treatments. Requirements

• Must be a Registered Nurse in the state inquiring of employment and in good standing
• Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance
• Professional Liability Insurance
• CPR Certification
• Knowledge of PIV, Mid-Line, PICC Line, Tunneled Catheters, and Ports
• At least 2 years’ experience as a home infusion nurse, or equivalent experience working in another field-based home nursing organization, is required
• ED experience preferred
• Demonstrated proficiency in IV insertion, vascular access devices, and infusion pumps
• Specific training and/or certification as a heart failure nurse is highly desirable
• Strong pediatric peripheral IV skills preferred
• Certified Nurse Infusionist (CRNI) preferred
• Experience with the following IV therapies is a major advantage: inotropes, intravenous immunoglobulin, and Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN)

Job Responsibilities, included but not limited to:

• Delivers "white glove" service and submits travel expense reports
• Projects a positive attitude and participates in employee activities
• Provides nursing services as requested, including weekends and evenings
• Performs other duties as assigned
