The Dayton VAMC is recruiting a Surgical & Procedural Care Nursing Clinical Outcomes Coordinator (COC). The COC is a registered nurse who coordinates quality improvement across all sections of the Surgical & Procedural Care Nursing Service.

Preferred experience includes process improvement, coordination of quality improvement in nursing care, and experience in surgical, procedural and/or specialty care nursing. VA offers a comprehensive total rewards package and federal benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience in process improvement and coordination of quality improvement in nursing care.
• Experience in surgical, procedural and/or specialty care nursing.

Responsibilities

• Identifying developmental and training needs of staff and providing or coordinating education and competency evaluation.
• Planning, prioritizing and scheduling education/competencies for staff.
• Monitoring unit data metrics, data mining/chart reviews, and reporting performance improvement data.
