Zusammenfassung

The Dayton VAMC is recruiting for a Surgical & Procedural Care Nursing Clinical Outcomes Coordinator (COC). The COC is a registered nurse who uses specialized knowledge and skills for the coordination of quality improvement across all sections of the Surgical & Procedural Care Nursing Service.

The COC will lead education, coordinate quality improvement initiatives, and support performance metrics across the unit.

Qualifikationen

• Nurse must be a graduate of an approved nursing program.
• Current US state license to practice as a registered nurse.
• English language proficiency for direct patient care.
• Eligibility for temporary appointment pending licensure where applicable.
• Comprehensive qualification standards per VA guidelines.

Aufgaben

• Identify developmental and training needs of staff and provide or arrange training.
• Plan education/training and competencies for staff and set completion schedules.
• Assign education/training based on priorities and staff capabilities.
• Evaluate staff performance and provide guidance.
• Maintain continuous accreditation readiness of units.
• Support patient safety, data metrics, and quality reporting.
• Support and advance evidence-based practice and quality improvement projects.
• Participate in service and medical center committees to improve nursing practice.
• Cultivate collaborative partnerships with staff and leadership.
• Other duties as assigned.

Ausbildung

Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)

Current RN license

Master's degree in Nursing (MSN) or related field (preferred)
