Job summary

Northwestern Medicine is seeking an experienced Clinical Coordinator RN to oversee patient flow, staffing, and interdisciplinary collaboration on a given shift within the NM system.

The role requires a nursing Bachelors degree, IL RN licensure, and 2+ years in a clinical specialty, with Magnet certification preferred and CPR–BLS compliance. This is a fulltime, on-site position offering competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in nursing and active RN license in Illinois.
• Minimum two years of clinical experience in a specialty.
• Possesses or pursues Magnet-recognized certification within 1 year (preferred).
• CPR–BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates unit operations on a shift basis according to policy and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinates unit-based staffing on a shift basis to ensure high-quality, cost-effective care.
• Directs patient care provided by staff nurses and support personnel for a specific shift.
• Champions new initiatives and participates in unit/departmental or hospital committees.
• Communicates with patients and significant others about nursing care.
