- Knowledge of unit operations and quality improvement practices.
Responsibilities
- Facilitates unit operations and staffing on a shift basis to deliver high-quality care.
- Directs patient care provided by staff nurses and support personnel.
- Leads initiatives and committees to improve unit performance.
- Communicates with patients and families about nursing care.
- Implements action plans for safe and efficient care.
- Assesses and Responds to patient needs and maintains safety.
- Contributes to budget discussions related to staffing and cost containment.
