Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health is seeking a full-time Utilization Review/Discharge Planner RN in Massachusetts. You will coordinate patient care utilization and discharge planning, applying clinical criteria and collaborating with care teams to ensure appropriate levels of care.

You will support transitions, quality improvement, and regulatory standards while maintaining strong communication and customer service. Weekend rotation and department participation are included as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with license in Massachusetts; Bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and manage projects; strong organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to resolve conflicts.

Responsibilities

• Utilization review and discharge planning for inpatient admissions.
• Apply Interqual, AEP and other criteria to determine appropriate care levels.
• Coordinate with care teams to ensure timely patient transitions and post-acute planning.
• Collaborate with Community Case Managers for high-risk patients.
• Participate in hospital committees and maintain regulatory compliance.
