Job summary

Corewell Health's Royal Oak Hospital seeks a part-time Nursing Assistant for the Progressive Care Unit (3CN/4CN/5CN). You will provide patient care under the RN, assist with transfers, and perform unit clerical duties, documenting care in the electronic medical record.

Eligibility includes HS diploma, BLS/CPR certification, and NA certification; prior NA program completion or experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent American Heart Association or American Red Cross Basic Life Support
• Preferred Completion of nursing assistant program and/or one year of nursing assistant experience
• Nursing Assistant certification

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care according to the plan of care, unit routine and hospital policy under the direction of a Registered Nurse.
• Safe transport of patients via wheelchair or stretcher, dispatch services and appropriate documentation of services.
• Provides the services of an Observer for any patient on a patient care unit who has been assessed to require constant observation, either in person or via remote video monitoring, to maximize his/her safety.
• Performs general receptionist and clerical duties to facilitate efficient functioning of the nursing unit.
• Documentation of care provided in the electronic medical record.
