Job summary

SCA Health is seeking a patient care assistant in New Jersey to support inpatient and ambulatory services. You will help transfer and ambulate patients, assist in moving patients in wheelchairs, and maintain a safe healthcare environment.

Responsibilities include providing post-operative snacks/drinks, cleaning patient bays and equipment, and participating in ongoing in-service training as required. A high school diploma and patient care readiness are expected, with a preference for those with

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of work experience is desirable, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Ability to push, pull and lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in transferring/ambulation.
• Push/pull patients in wheelchairs.
• Maintain a healthy and safe environment.
• Provide post-operative snacks/drinks to patients as directed.
• Clean patient bays following proper policy and procedures.
• Clean equipment per manufacturer’s instructions.
• Participate in in-service/education as required.
