Job summary

SCA Health in Fair Lawn, New Jersey, is seeking a Patient Care Assistant to support pre- and post-operative patients in a fast-paced ambulatory setting. You will assist with transferring and ambulation, push-pull patients in wheelchairs, and help maintain a clean, safe environment.

The role requires a minimum high school diploma, about one year of relevant work experience, and the ability to push/pull and lift up to 50 lbs. Compensation ranges from USD 16.00 to USD 20.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• At least one year of work experience is desirable, preferably in a clinical setting.
• Work requires some pushing, pulling and lifting up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assisting patients in transferring/ambulation.
• Push-pull patients in wheelchairs.
• Maintains a healthful and safe environment.
• Provide post-operative snacks/drinks to patients as directed.
• Clean patient bays following proper policy and procedures.
• Clean any equipment as directed following manufacturer’s instructions.
• Participates in any in-service/education as required.
