Job summary

Henry Ford Health in Southfield is seeking a Nurse Assistant to join our dedicated team on the Night shift. You will work 7pm-7:30am, 36 hours per week, under the guidance of a Registered Nurse to ensure patient safety, comfort, and well-being across our hospital setting.

Successful candidates complete a Nurse Assistant program or are enrolled in a nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing; CNA certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program or enrollment in a nursing program with Fundamentals of Nursing completed.
• Foreign-trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license considered.
• Medical Assistant program completed or experience considered.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care under RN supervision to ensure safety and comfort.
• Assist in care planning with the RN.
• Respond to emergent situations following procedures.
• Participate in continuing education to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Uphold Henry Ford Health System standards of excellence in all interactions.

Required Qualifications

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• Completion of a Nurse Assistant program (e.g., Patient Care Technician or Patient Assistant Technician) OR currently enrolled in a nursing program with successful completion of Fundamentals of Nursing OR foreign trained and licensed RN without a Michigan RN license OR Medical Assistant program with or without experience OR at least one year of previous experience in a similar role.

Preferred Qualifications

• CNA certification preferred.
